ATLANTA, GEORGIA—A late goal from Luiz Araújo allowed the home team Atlanta United to remain unbeaten at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, May 15. United’s goal allowed eked out a 2-2 draw against the visiting New England Revolution.

The draw also allowed the team to stretch their unbeaten streak at home to 13 games. The home team started hot as it scored the first goal in the match at 14 minutes from Argentine midfielder Thiago Almada. However, the visitor was able to equalize and score another goal and take a 2-1 lead in the game.

Playing in front of their fans, United tried hard to equalize, which they did on a goal from Araujo. As the score was tied at 2-2, both teams tried to score a goal, but their efforts were futile. United hopes to get back to its winning ways when they visit the dangerous Nashville SC on Saturday, May 21, at GEODIS Park.
