ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The dream of Atlanta United FC to get back to the winning column will have to take a backseat once again.
This scenario developed after the home team suffered a scoreless draw against the visiting New York Red Bulls at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on June 27.
While the team failed to achieve a win, it is still happy since they were able to extend their home unbeaten streak in league play to five matches.
Playing in front of its 42,575 fans, the United played solid from the get-go but the Red Bulls defense is just too hard to crack.
The visiting Red Bulls also played superbly in the game but United veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan foiled all their goal attempts.
Guzan has a solid performance in the game as he recorded four saves to post his third clean sheet of the regular season.
United (2-2-6, 12 points) hopes to get back to its winning ways when they visit Chicago Fire FC at Soldier Field on July 3 (8:00 p.m. ET, Bally Sports South, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
