GLOBAL FOOTBALL STYLE ALERT — Adidas has officially kicked off the hype for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the release of its largest-ever national team jersey collection, unveiling home kits for 22 nations ahead of next summer’s historic tournament across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

From Germany’s retro revival to Argentina’s championship-inspired redesign, the new kits fuse cultural identity, performance tech, and nods to iconic moments in football history.

“Every jersey tells a story,” said Adidas Football VP Thomas Mace, “blending heritage with innovation for a generation ready to make history.”

Germany Goes Retro in Final Adidas Chapter

Germany’s bold new shirt features chevron detailing and diamond graphics inspired by classic designs—most notably their 2014 World Cup-winning kit.

This drop marks the final World Cup jersey from Adidas for Die Mannschaft, as Germany will switch to Nike in 2027, ending a 70-year partnership.

Fun Fact: The shirt’s lenticular logo changes appearance depending on the angle—a futuristic feature representing “shapeshifting identity.”

Modeled by: Florian Wirtz (Liverpool), Nick Woltemade (Newcastle)

Argentina Honors the Past, Eyes Repeat

World champions Argentina unveiled a jersey that draws inspiration from their 1978, 1986, and 2022 title runs, retaining the iconic sky blue and white stripes, while adding “1896” on the collar—the founding year of the Argentine FA.

With Lionel Messi possibly playing in his final World Cup, expect this kit to become an instant classic.
