ATLANTA – While the city gears up for the SEC Championship this weekend and looks forward to hosting the College Football National Championship in January, excitement is already building for another marquee event: the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
On Saturday, FIFA released the match schedule for this historic tournament, set to run from June 15 to July 13, 2025. Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host six matches, showcasing some of the world’s best club teams.
Atlanta’s Match Schedule:
Group Stage Matches
- June 16: Chelsea vs. Club León
- June 19: Inter Miami vs. FC Porto
- June 22: Manchester City vs. Al Ain FC
Knockout Rounds
- Round of 16: June 29 and July 1
- Quarterfinal: July 5
This will be the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States, with Atlanta joining 10 other host cities, including Charlotte, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Miami, and more.
A Growing Soccer Legacy
Atlanta’s reputation as a global soccer hub continues to grow. The city has already been announced as a host for eight matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including five group stage matches, a Round of 32 game, Round of 16 game, and a semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
“This tournament is a chance for Atlanta to shine on the international stage, further solidifying its status as a soccer city,” said Dan Corso, President of the Atlanta Sports Council. “We’re honored to host these world-class events and welcome fans from across the globe to experience Atlanta’s passion for the sport.”
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is expected to bring fans from all over the world to witness thrilling matches, showcasing the best clubs from each of FIFA’s six confederations.
