ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The supposed game between the Atlanta Rovers FC and Atlanta United Academy in the 2022 United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Premier Georgia Division Fall Season, scheduled on April 16, has been moved to the 19th of the month.

According to reports, the game will still be held on the home turf of the United Academy at Atlanta Academy Training Ground on April 19 at around 7:30 in the evening. The Atlanta Academy Training Ground is located at Franklin Gateway in Marietta, GA. Rovers FC hopes to upset United Academy, who has four points in the current UPSL Premier Georgia Division Fall Season, Sporting a record of two draws and one defeat for one point.

To defeat the home team United Academy, Rovers FC needs to play with its A-game since the latter is a runner-up in last year’s UPSL Premier Georgia Division tournament. Rovers FC has been in dire need of a win since last April 9, the team suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of the visiting Limeño Georgia 0-2 at the Hillgrove High School Stadium.

The home team, Rovers, played with effort and determination, but their performance was not enough to stop Georgia from scoring two winning goals against them. Earlier, the dream of Rovers FC to nail down its first win on the road has ended in a nightmare. Rovers FC fell to the home team Potros FC 1-2 at Marietta High School Stadium on April 3. The visiting Rovers FC started strong in the game by scoring the first goal, but the home team bounced back and scored the following goals for the win.

Last March 26, Rovers FC salvaged a draw against the visiting SJ All-Stars FC at Hillgrove High School around 7 in the evening. Down 0-1 in the first half, the home team rallied to eke out a draw against the All-Stars in the second half.

UPSL is an American professional development soccer league founded in Santa Ana in Southern California.
The teams are considered regionalized conferences throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The league was founded in 2011 by Santa Ana Winds FC President Leonel López as a regional league for teams in Greater Los Angeles but expanded to include teams from 32 states as of the 2019 UPSL season.

Each year, two seasons are played, with regional play culminating in a playoff system that crowns a single national champion each season. The league features internal promotion and relegation with up to three levels in some regions; only clubs in the top tier Division I are eligible to compete for the national championship. The league is a United States Adult Soccer Association National League within the United States soccer league system.
