Atlanta United 2 announced a series of exciting new signings today, adding depth and talent to their roster for the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season. The seven players include Ryan Carmichael, Patrick Weah, Moises Tablante, Salvatore Mazzaferro, Toto Majub, and two previously signed pre-contract players, Arif Kovac and Santiago Pita.
Experienced Additions:
- Ryan Carmichael, 23, brings a proven scoring touch after a stellar season with Inter Miami CF II, where he tallied nine goals and six assists. The Northern Ireland native, a former first-round MLS SuperDraft pick out of Hofstra, boasts a prolific collegiate record of 46 goals.
- Patrick Weah, 21, adds explosive talent on the wing. A Minnesota United Academy product, Weah has gained experience in the USL Championship and abroad, including a loan stint in Denmark.
- Moises Tablante, 23, adds versatility and creativity. The Venezuelan winger has made 93 professional appearances, including successful campaigns with Orlando City B and FC Cincinnati 2, where he registered three goals and four assists last season.
- Salvatore Mazzaferro, 23, solidifies the backline as a dependable Canadian center-back. With 58 MLS NEXT Pro appearances for Austin FC II over the past two seasons, Mazzaferro brings experience and defensive stability.
International Talent:
- Toto Majub, a Ugandan defender, joins from Amusi Football Club. Majub has represented Uganda at the U-20 international level and adds further depth to Atlanta’s defensive unit.
Youth Prospects:
- Arif Kovac and Santiago Pita, both signed on pre-contracts last July, officially join the squad. Kovac, a striker from St. Louis Scott Gallagher SC, and Pita, an attacking midfielder from Weston FC, provide exciting options for the future. Both players are also eligible to feature for Atlanta’s U-18 squad.
