ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The losing woes of Atlanta United 2 FC is now officially over.
The home team United 2 FC beat FC Tulsa 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Playing in front of its home fans, United 2 FC started strong in the game.
With their aggressive play, United 2 FC was able to score in the 25’-minute from striker Amadou Macky Diop.
After their initial goal, United 2 FC felt more energized and scored their second goal on the 49’-minute from Ajani Fortune.
Sensing the danger of losing, FC Tulsa played with more energy and scored a goal in the 55′-minute from Rodrigo da Costa.
At this juncture, the two teams played toe to toe until the final buzzer sounded.
United 2 FC (4-6-5, 17 points) hopes to extend their winning streak to two games when they visit the Birmingham Legion FC on July 31 at BBVA Compass Stadium (ESPN+, 7:30 p.m. ET).
