ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Atlanta United 2 FC’s dream to get back it’s winning ways will have to wait a little longer.
This scenario developed after the host United 2 FC only managed a 1-1 draw against the visiting Indy Eleven on Wednesday evening at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Playing its second of a three-game homestand, United 2 FC started strong in the game but Indy goalkeeper Eric Dick stopped all their goal attempts.
In the 64th minute, Indy stun the host after Jordan Hamilton scored a goal over United 2 FC goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo.
Sensing an urgency to score to avoid defeat, United 2 FC played more aggressively and eventually scored a goal in the 73rd minute courtesy of Connor Stanley.
United 2 FC hopes to get back to its winning ways when they host the dangerous Sporting Kansas City II on July 11 at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
