ATLANTA, GEORGIA— The visiting Atlanta United 2 FC eked out a 2-2 draw against the home team Birmingham Legion FC on July 31 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
The visiting United 2 FC started strong in the match as Aiden McFadden regain his scoring touch and scored a goal in the 35’-minute.
Sensing danger, the home team played more aggressively and scored two goals to put the team ahead 2-1.
As Legion FC is headed for a win, United 2 FC’s Darwin Matheus score a goal to equalize the score in the waning seconds of the game.
United 2 FC (4-6-6, 18 points) hopes to get back to its winning ways when they face Birmingham Legion FC again on August 4 at BBVA Field (ESPN+, 7:30 p.m. ET).
