ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The dream of Atlanta United 2 FC to enter the playoffs in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship is now officially over.
On October 16, the visiting United 2 FC suffered a 2-4 defeat at the hands of the home team Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park.
Coming off a win to keep their playoff hopes alive on Wednesday, United 2 FC played aggressively in the entire game.
However, in the end, the home team proved to be much better as they come up with four winning goals.
The two goals of United 2 FC were provided by Abdoulaye Diop and Ajani Fortune.
United 2 FC (8-14-10, 34 points) hopes to end their USL campaign on a good note when they visit FC Tulsa on October 20 at ONEOK Field (ESPN+, 8:00 p.m. ET).
