On Wednesday, April 24, Atlanta United 2 will return to Fifth Third Stadium to play Chattanooga FC, a division opponent.

The game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and may be seen live on MLSNEXTPro.com. Soccer Down Here audio stream viewers can also tune in.

With a 3-0-2 record (12 points), Chattanooga FC enters the game in top place in the Southeast Division and third place in the Eastern Conference. With their lone loss of the season coming from the United States, CFC is undefeated in MLS NEXT Pro play.

Chattanooga is coming off its third straight regular season victory, coming from behind to defeat Huntsville City FC 1-0 on the road. They will face Miami United FC in the Open Cup.

With four goals on seven shots on goal, midfielder Alex McGrath leads Chattanooga in goals scored thus far. Forward Taylor Gray leads the team in assists with three.

ATL UTD 2 is coming off a Sunday, April 21, 4-1 home loss to FC Cincinnati 2. In the sixteenth minute, Moises Tablante scored the first goal for Cincinnati after Gerardo Valenzuela provided a through ball to him. Tablante hit the ball high into the net after attempting a shot from a challenging angle.

In the 33rd, Peter Magione scored a tap-in goal to increase the visitors’ lead after Atlanta had saved a shot.

In the 42nd minute, ATL UTD 2 equalized through a cross from Javier Armas that found Erik Centeno at the top of the box, who squared it off for Karim Tmimi to score.

Cincinnati’s third goal came in the 55th minute after Nicholas Benalcazar intercepted a pass inside the box and went beyond Atlanta’s defense.

Taking advantage of confusion in the area, Benjamin Stitz scored the game’s final goal in the 67th minute after collecting the ball just outside the six-yard box and slotting a right-footed effort.

Ramzi Qawasmy, a defender, has joined Atlanta United 2, the team announced last week. After playing two games for Louisville City FC in the USL Championship in 2023, the 24-year-old defender has joined ATL UTD 2.

Qawasmy had a successful collegiate career with Providence College before joining Louisville, earning 88 appearances in five seasons, all of which were starts.

Qawasmy scored seven goals and provided one assist in his four seasons with the Friars, winning four All-BIG EAST awards.

Qawasmy participated in USL League Two competitions with Reading United (2021) and West Chester United (2022) while attending college. Against FC Cincinnati 2, Qawasmy made his Atlanta United debut from the bench.
