Kaiden Moore, an Academy defender, has signed with Atlanta United 2 through the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season, the team announced today. With effect from January 1, 2026, Moore will be the 22nd Homegrown signing for Atlanta.
“Kaiden is yet another great example of the club’s player development pathway and the strong link between the Academy and our First Team that we’re continuing to build” said Director of Methodology Javier Perez. “Kaiden has shown great promise during his time with our Academy squads and already has professional experience after making his Atlanta United 2 debut earlier this season. We are thrilled to have him continue to grow his career with Atlanta United.”
While making his professional debut against Philadelphia Union II in April, Moore, 17, has amassed 502 minutes this season across eight games, seven of which have been starts, with ATL UTD 2. In 2022, Moore became a member of Atlanta United’s Academy, and he played for the U-16 Academy team that won the MLS NEXT Cup Championship in 2023. Since last September, he has been called up to two local camps with the U-17 American team on the international scene.
Atlanta United 2 (3-9-4, 15 points) will play their next away game on Saturday, July 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Apple TV – MLS Season Pass, Soccer Down Here, against Huntsville City FC at Wicks Family Field.
