ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Two promising players of Atlanta United 2 have been picked to play in the 2022 Major League Soccer Next All-Star Game on the morning of August 10 at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota.

According to reports, defender Noah Cobb and Atlanta United Academy defender Malachi Grant are set to play in the NEXT All-Star game, which happens on the morning of the MLS All-Star Game. NEXT is the developmental league of MLS. Cobb, a 17-year-old defender from Atlanta who has made 15 starts for Jack Collison’s UTD 2 side this season, was recently called up to the United States U19 Men’s Youth National Team in April.

Grant, a 16-year-old left back for the Atlanta United Academy U16 team, was integral in their run to the quarterfinals of MLS Next Cup playoffs. He scored one late goal from more than 20 yards out against Baltimore Armour that secured an important win during the round 32 match-up and helped them move forward into the next stage!
