Tata Martino spoke with reporters Friday morning to give us some further insight into the status of certain players for Saturday’s Eastern Conference clash against NYCFC. We have good news and bad news.

Chris McCannMartino announced that the Irishman will once again be unavailable on Saturday with a hamstring injury. McCann was subbed off at halftime against the Philadelphia Union last Saturday. He’s listed as day-to-day.

Tito VillalbaAfter missing the last three matches due to a hyperextended knee, Villalba is now available for selection on Saturday. It’ll be interesting to see if the forward starts in place of Ezequiel Barco, who nearly played the entire U.S. Open Cup match on Wednesday. It’s more likely though that we see Villalba come off the bench, as is typically Martino’s strategy when players are returning from an extended absence. It’ll be nice to see him receive some much needed playing time.
