If you were inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium Saturday night, you saw one of the most chaotic and unforgettable matches of the season. Unfortunately for the 5-Stripes, the end result was heartbreak: a 5-4 loss to Columbus Crew that officially eliminated Atlanta United from playoff contention.
Despite going down 5-0 inside 39 minutes, Atlanta stormed back with four unanswered goals, giving the 17s in attendance hope of an all-time comeback. In the end, the Crew escaped with three points, leaving Atlanta to wonder what could have been.
