ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The visiting Atlanta United lost to the home team LA Galaxy 0-2 at the Dignity Health Sports Park on July 24. Coming off a draw against the visiting Orlando City FC 1-1 last July 17, United played aggressively in the opening minutes of their game.
However, the home team, Galaxy, proved to be a team focused as they scored a goal from Chicharito in the seventh minute of their match. The visitor tried to score in the first half to equalize the count at 1-1, to no avail. The visiting United played more energy in the second half, but the home team foiled all their goal attempts.
In the waning seconds of their game, the Galaxy scored another goal to make it 0-2. United hopes to return to its winning groove when they host the dangerous Seattle Sounders on August 6 at the Mercedes-Benz stadium.
