ATLANTA, GEORGIA —Playing on the road remains a huge problem for Atlanta United FC. For the second straight time, Atlanta United FC suffered a 1-2 defeat on the road against the home team Portland Timbers at Providence Park on September 4.

Trying to shake off its losing woes, Atlanta United FC head coach Gonzalo Pineda has decided to start Raúl Gudiño as the goalkeeper for the team. Gudiño did not disappoint as he tried his best to stop the home team from scoring. However, the efforts of the 6-foot-5 keeper from Guadalajara, Mexico, were not enough as the home team was able to score two penalty shots which proved to be the difference in the game.

Atlanta United FC veteran striker Josef Martinez provided the lone goal for the team in a losing cause. Atlanta United FC hopes to get back on its feet when they host Toronto FC at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on September 10.
