After three months of trying, the United FC finally ended their losing woes with a 3-2 win against the home team Columbus Crew at Field on August 7.
The visiting United FC started like a house on fire as returningArgentine striker Ezequiel Barco scored a goal in the first five minutes of the match.
Energized by his first goal, Barco scored another goal for his team in the 35th minute.
Sensing danger, Jonathan Mensah made it 2-1 after he scored for the Crew two minutes later.
As the two teams battle toe to toe, Marcelino Moreno scored another goal for the United FC in the 65th minute.
Taking a 3-1 lead, the United FC is headed to a two-point victory but Pedro Santos was able to score a goal for the Crew before the final buzzer sounded to make 3-2 in the final count.
United FC (3-6-9, 18 points) hopes to extend their winning streak to two when they host the dangerous Los Angeles Football Club at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 15.
