ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The dream of Atlanta United FC that their losing woes will finally end will have to take a backseat once again.
This scenario developed after the visiting United FC suffered a 2-3 defeat against the home team Orlando SC on July 30 at the Exploria Stadium.
Coming off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Columbus Crew SC at home at the Mercedes Benz Stadium last July 24, the United FC started strong in the game.
United FC star striker Josef Martinez was aggressive from the get-go and scored the game’s 1st goal in the 1st-minute of the match.
Kyle Smith of Orlando SC equalizes the count 1-all after scoring a goal in the 43’ minutes.
United FC once again took the lead after Marcelino Moreno scored in the 66th minute.
The home team once again equalize the count at 2-all after Silvester van der Water scored in the 79th minute.
As the game is headed to a 2-2 draw, Orlando SC’s Nani scored the winning goal in 87′ minutes.
United FC 2-6-8, 14 points) hopes to end their back-to-back defeats when they visit the CF Montreal on Wednesday at Stade Saputo (7:30 p.m., Bally Sports South, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
