ATLANTA, GEORGIA—With a new coach and the looming return of its star striker, the visiting Atlanta United FC is confident they can finally end their eight-game winless streak against the home team FC Cincinnati on July 21 at TQL Stadium (8 p.m., FS1, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
United FC interim head coach Rob Valentino is confident his crew can finally get back to its winning ways especially that Venezuelan star striker Josef Martinez is expected to play in the game.
United FC is confident of a victory against the home team since Cincinnati is also struggling in the ongoing Major League Soccer season.
Cincinnati’s defense has unsurprisingly been one of the worst in the league and conceded the second-most goals in the league (25).
To defeat the home team, Martinez needs to play his A-game come game-time.
Aside from Martinez, newly acquired player striker Amar Sejdic also needs to play well for United FC.
If Valentino can come up with a good game plan on Wednesday, there is no reason his team will lose against the home team.
