ATLANTA, GEORGIA— The Atlanta United FC suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the visiting New England Revolution at the Mercedes Benz Stadium last July 17.
The home team United FC started strong in the match as newly acquired striker Amar Sejdic made his first start with the club.
Despite their aggressive start, United FC still failed to penetrate the tough defense of the Revolution.
On the 18th minute, Gustavo Bou was able to evade the tough defense of United FC and score a goal for the Revolution.
Sensing the danger of losing at home, United FC tried to score in the remainder of the game but their effort proved futile and allowed the visitor the win.
United FC (2-4-7, 13 points) hopes to get back to their feet with a win when they visit the FC Cincinnati on July 21 at TQL Stadium (8 p.m., FS1, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
