ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The home team Atlanta United FC (4-6-9, 21 points) hopes to extend its winning streak to three games when they face the dangerous Toronto FC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday (7:00 p.m., Bally Sports Southeast, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor).
Coming off a 1-0 win against the Los Angeles Football Club at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 15, the United FC is confident they can also beat Toronto at home.
The United is also favored to beat Toronto since the latter came off a 2-1 home loss to New England Revolution on Aug. 14.
To bring down Toronto, United FC star striker Josef Martinez also needs to play superbly again for his team.
Aside from Martinez, Argentine playmaker Ezequiel Barco also needs to play solid for his team.
The rest of the home team should also be focused on winning from the get-go.
To avoid a second successive defeat, Toronto needs to come up with a solid game plan on Wednesday.
