ATLANTA, GEORGIA –The Atlanta United FC hopes to get back to its winning ways when they host the dangerous Orlando City SC on Friday evening at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The home team United FC is very determined to win to give its new coach Gonzalo Pineda his first victory for the team.
The coaching debut of Pineda did not end well as planned as the home team United FC suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of the visiting Nashville SC last September 5 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The loss is painful for United FC since their four-game losing streak has also ended.
To beat Orlando, Pineda must come up with a solid game plan come game time.
United FC strikers Josef Martinez and Luiz Araújo need to be on their A-game on Friday.
The United FC is very confident of its chances against Orlando since they own a record of 6-3-5 against Orlando 2-1-3 at home and 4-2-2 on the road in the series.
This will be the third and final meeting between the teams during the regular season after a 0-0 draw at Orlando on April 17 and a 3-2 loss at Orlando on July 30.
