ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The one-of-a-kind goalkeeping skills of Atlanta United FC goalkeeper Brad Guzan have not only carried his team to victories but also put him on top of the Major League Soccer ladder.
Based on the data released by Major League Soccer Players Association on May 13, Guzan is the highest-paid goalkeeper of the league at $805,000 salary this season.

Aside from Guzan, United star forward Josef Martinez also made headlines in the MLS since he is the fifth highest-paid player in the league at a $3.89 million yearly salary.
The former MLS MVP is also the highest-paid player for the United this year.
While Martinez is earning well this year, United’s young midfielder Santiago Sosa, tagged as the future of the team is just earning a modest $508,300.00 yearly salary for the team.
Overall, the United has the fourth-highest payroll in the MLS at $16.2 million.
The news came as the United prepares for its homestand against the dangerous CF Montreal on May 15 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
