ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Playing on the road remains a big challenge for Atlanta United. On July 30, the team earned a scoreless draw against the home team Chicago Fire FC at Soldier Field. Suffering defeat against LA Galaxy 0-2 at the Dignity Health Sports Park on July 24, the visiting United, led by Josef Martínez and Thiago Almada, played aggressively in the first half as starters.

Midfielder Santiago Sosa also returned to the starting XI for the first time since the April 24 match at Inter Miami. However, despite a solid starting roster, the team still failed to manufacture a point in the first half.

In the second half, the troops of Gonzalo Pineda continued their aggressive play, but their efforts were still not enough to score a point for the team. United hopes to return to its winning groove when they host the dangerous Seattle Sounders on August 6 at the Mercedes-Benz stadium.
