Key additions

Bartosz Slisz, CM

Stian Gregersen, CB

After identifying their primary needs for the offseason, Atlanta United entered the transfer market and successfully filled those positions.
Yes, there is still cause for concern in goal. Josh Cohen was hired by the team to challenge Brad Guzan, who struggled last season and gave up five goals more than anticipated, according to FBref.

Guzan, however, has proven reliable in 2024. The main improvements were made to the spine with the arrival of Norwegian international Stian Gregersen from Bordeaux and Polish international Bartosz Slisz from Legia Warsaw.

Due to injuries, Gregersen has only appeared in three games this year, although he appeared to be comfortable in his starting position at first.

In contrast, Slisz is unquestionably better than Matheus Rossetto and whatever else the team used in its double pivot the previous season, excluding Tristan Muyumba.

Slisz is a versatile central midfielder who can advance the play through passing and dribbling. He’s a valuable defender as well.
Regarding their live performances, the Five Stripes still have a lot of work ahead of them.

Avoiding actions such as these should, well, assist as the season progresses:
