The September 4th shooting left the community devastated, claiming the lives of two teachers and two students—Christian Angulo, Mason Schermerhorn, Cristina Irimie, and Richard Aspinwall. Nine others were hospitalized. Funerals for Irimie and Schermerhorn took place earlier that Saturday afternoon.
As the investigation unfolds, 14-year-old Colt Gray, an Apalachee High School student, has been charged as an adult with four counts of murder. His father, Colin Gray, is also facing charges for allegedly allowing his son access to the weapon used in the shooting. Both are set to appear for preliminary hearings in December, while a grand jury convenes on October 17.
