Atlanta United is ranked in the eighth place in the current Major League Soccer Power ranking.

Atlanta was without several starters going into their game against Philadelphia. Still, they came very close to winning.

The Five Stripes led 2-0 at halftime, but a bungled back pass sent Mikael Uhre through on goal and a stunning strike from Kai Wagner undid that lead. It’s one of those games where there aren’t any lessons to be learned. Except two instances, Atlanta was strong on the day despite missing several important players. MLS occurs occasionally.

Atlanta could find comfort in the fact that Bartosz Slisz and Tristan Muyumba, their midfield duo, are improving every week.
