The 17s Are Finally Coming Home
The long wait is almost over.
Atlanta United’s matchup with Red Bull New York will bring the Five Stripes back to their longtime home after nearly 100 days away, giving supporters their first opportunity in months to gather inside the Benz for an Atlanta United MLS match.
The return comes after Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosted the world’s biggest soccer tournament this summer, giving Atlanta a front-row seat to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Now, the stadium belongs to the 17s again.

Fans will get a familiar face from Atlanta’s memorable World Cup summer.
Charlie B, who served as an in-stadium host during Atlanta’s FIFA World Cup matches, will join Atlanta United host Joe Freihofer throughout the evening.
The pair will keep fans informed and entertained while bringing some of the energy that made Atlanta’s World Cup matchdays so memorable.
For supporters who spent the summer experiencing soccer at the Benz from a different perspective, Charlie B’s return adds another connection between Atlanta’s historic World Cup summer and the return of the Five Stripes.
Hero the Band Takes the Supporters Stage
The entertainment continues at halftime with Hero the Band.
The Decatur-based group of brothers performed during FIFA Fan Fest this summer and will return to the soccer spotlight with a halftime performance on the Supporters Stage.
It’s another distinctly Atlanta touch for a night designed around bringing the city’s soccer community back together.
The Party Continues After the Final Whistle
The celebration won’t end when the match does.
Atlanta-based DJ OHSO will join DJ EU for the Atlanta United post-match party at Front Porch.
OHSO was another fan favorite during FIFA Fan Fest on June 18, and she’ll bring her signature mixes to the post-match celebration alongside DJ EU.
For Atlanta supporters, the message is simple: arrive ready for soccer and stay for the party.
