For the final time in the 2025 MLS regular season, Atlanta United’s stars are scattering across the globe — trading in the red and black of the 5-Stripes for their national team colors.

The October FIFA international window (Oct. 6–14) sees eight Atlanta United players representing their countries, while the club continues MLS action with a road trip to face Inter Miami on October 11.

It’s a showcase of Atlanta’s global footprint — a mix of veterans, rising stars, and homegrown talent gaining invaluable international experience.

Eight 5-Stripes Representing Their Nations

Miguel Almirón – Paraguay

Atlanta’s midfield magician is on the move again. Fresh off helping Paraguay secure World Cup qualification last month, Miggy will lead La Albirroja into two friendlies across Asia — facing Japan and Korea Republic, both 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

• Friday, Oct. 10 – Japan vs Paraguay, 6:20 a.m. ET
• Tuesday, Oct. 14 – Korea Republic vs Paraguay, 7 a.m. ET

Ronald Hernández – Venezuela

After narrowly missing out on World Cup qualification, Hernández and La Vinotinto regroup for two friendlies on North American soil — first against Argentina in Miami, then Belize in Chicago.

Saba Lobjanidze – Georgia

For the third consecutive window, Saba Lobjanidze has earned the call to represent Georgia in European World Cup qualifying. With his nation sitting second in Group E, huge matches against Spain and Türkiye could define Georgia’s historic push for a first-ever World Cup appearance.

Enea Mihaj – Albania

In his first international call-up since joining the 5-Stripes, Enea Mihaj heads to Europe for a crucial World Cup qualifier against Serbia, followed by a friendly against Jordan. Albania currently sits second in Group K, just behind England.

Alexey Miranchuk – Russia

Bartosz Slisz – Poland

Atlanta’s hard-tackling midfielder will anchor Poland’s midfield in two key matches — a friendly against New Zealand and a high-stakes qualifier against Lithuania that could determine their direct route to the 2026 World Cup.

Cooper Sanchez – U.S. U-17 National Team

The youngest 5-Stripe on the list, Cooper Sanchez joins the U.S. U-17s for a final training camp in Fayetteville, Ga. before the squad is finalized for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar (Nov. 3–27).

It’s another proud moment for Atlanta United’s academy system, which continues to produce national-level talent.
