ATLANTA — Atlanta United announced Tuesday that the club has transferred midfielder Bartosz Slisz to Brøndby IF of the Danish Superliga for an undisclosed fee, ending the Polish international’s two-season stint in Major League Soccer.
Slisz joined Atlanta United on Jan. 17, 2024, arriving from Legia Warsaw and quickly establishing himself as a key presence in midfield. Over two MLS seasons, the 25-year-old made 62 appearances, starting 58 matches, and contributed four goals and three assists while providing consistent defensive structure and composure in possession.
Known for his work rate, positional discipline, and ability to control tempo, Slisz became a trusted option in Atlanta’s midfield during a period of roster transition. His move to Brøndby IF returns him to European competition, where he will look to continue his development in one of Scandinavia’s most competitive leagues.
The transfer opens additional flexibility for Atlanta United as the club continues shaping its roster ahead of the 2026 MLS season, with a renewed emphasis on youth development and tactical balance under head coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino.
