Atlanta United has officially cut the ribbon on a $25 million expansion to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground, elevating the facility into one of the most advanced in world soccer.
The project, which expands the complex to 50,000 square feet, was celebrated with a ceremony featuring club owner Arthur Blank, team executives, and city leaders.
“From the beginning, our vision was to build something extraordinary,” Blank said at the event. “This expansion reflects our commitment to the game, to Atlanta, and to creating a best-in-class environment for our players, fans, and partners.”

Club officials noted the investment goes beyond infrastructure — it signals Atlanta United’s intent to compete globally, both in performance and in influence.
The expansion includes:
- New gym and wellness facilities for First Team, Atlanta United 2, and Academy players
- The Emory Healthcare Studio, a state-of-the-art broadcast and production hub
- Expanded space for player recovery, youth development, and front office staff
The result: a complex that positions Atlanta among the top training grounds in international soccer and ensures readiness to host visiting federations during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Long-Term Commitment
For the club, this $25 million project brings total investment in the Marietta site to over $90 million since 2017. Leaders framed it as both a milestone for player development and a statement of intent for Atlanta’s role as the epicenter of soccer in North America.
