ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta United announced today that midfielder Edwin Mosquera has undergone successful surgery on his left meniscus. Mosquera’s recovery timeline is estimated to be four to six weeks, pending progress in his rehabilitation process.
The timing of Mosquera’s injury is particularly impactful as Atlanta United prepares for a must-win match at home. The 5-Stripes will host Inter Miami CF in Game 2 of the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-3 series on Saturday, Nov. 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
