Adyn Torres, an Atlanta United homegrown midfielder, has been chosen to participate in the Allstate-sponsored MLS NEXT All-Star Game.
The East vs. West game, scheduled for Tuesday, July 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, will feature 44 of the best young players in North America. ET and may be seen live on MLSSoccer.com via streaming. During MLS All-Star week, Columbus fans can witness the league’s future stars take center stage for free.
After the 2024 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase concluded, the 44 players were chosen. Players must have participated in the MLS NEXT regular season, been born between 2007 and 2009, and participated in at least one of the MLS NEXT premier events this season, such as the MLS NEXT Fest, MLS NEXT Flex, Generation adidas Cup, or the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase, in order to be selected.
This past season, Torres played for Atlanta United’s U-17 team, who competed for a postseason spot but was unsuccessful in both the regular season and MLS NEXT Flex.
The 2024 U.S. Open champion from Silver Springs, Maryland has also played for Atlanta United. Open Cup games, making two substitution appearances in the team’s victories—a penalty shootout triumph over Charleston Battery and a victory over Charlotte Independence. This season, Torres has also played for ATL UTD 2, making nine appearances with five starts.
