ATLANTA, GEORGIA— The United Soccer League (USL) Championship has decided to re-schedule the June 30 suspended game between the Atlanta United 2 FC vs. Birmingham Legion FC to August 4.
In a press statement dated July 13, the USL Championship said the game that will be held from its entirety from the opening kickoff will still be held at BBVA Compass Field in Birmingham, Alabama.
It can be recalled that on June 30 the game between the two teams was suspended due to heavy rain and lightning at BBVA Compass Field.
Before the suspension of the game, the visiting United 2 is the underdog against the home team Legion.
Beating the Legion on top of the Central Division will be tough, but United 2 FC lead by their coach Jack Collison is very focused and determined to win a win come game-time.
To beat the Legion United 2 FC striker Aiden McFadden need to play superbly in the entire game.
Aside from McFadden, Matías Benítez who netted Atlanta’s lone goal in their recent defeat also needs to play solid.
The home team for its part can avoid the upset ax if they can come up with a good game plan against United 2 FC.
