Beer City Cup Atlanta Is Coming to Silverbacks Park
The Beer City Cup Atlanta is set for November 7–8, 2026, bringing the adult soccer tournament series to Silverbacks Park in Atlanta for the first time.
The event is scheduled for Veterans Day weekend and will feature Beer City Cup’s signature 8v8 adult soccer format, with teams competing across multiple divisions.
Beer City Cup describes its events as a combination of competitive adult soccer, cash prizes and a social festival atmosphere. The tournament series began in 2010 and has expanded beyond its original Asheville base, with Savannah becoming the first location outside Asheville in 2023.
Atlanta becomes the latest addition to that expansion.
Multiple Divisions and Cash Prizes
Beer City Cup offers competitive divisions ranging from elite and premier-level adult soccer to age-based divisions.
According to the tournament’s official FAQ, the published prize structure includes:
- Men’s Elite: $20,000
- Men’s Premier: $5,000
- Women’s Premier: $5,000
- CoEd Premier: $5,000
- Over 30: $2,000
- Over 40 Premier: $1,500
- Over 50: $1,000
- Over 55: $1,000
The tournament also lists Over 60 and Over 65 divisions, although those divisions receive a tournament-entry discount for their champions rather than the cash prizes listed above. Prize availability is subject to the tournament’s stated minimum number of teams in each division.
That means teams entering Atlanta will have multiple competitive pathways depending on their level and age eligibility.
Beer City Cup’s 8v8 Format
Beer City Cup isn’t traditional 11v11 adult soccer.
The tournament uses an 8v8 format, with games played on smaller fields and no offside rule. The official tournament rules state that each team is guaranteed three 50-minute games.
The format is designed to create more attacking opportunities while keeping the tournament competitive and fast-moving.
Beer City Cup also operates under rules affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and U.S. Soccer, with matches played according to the Laws of the Game as modified by the tournament’s rules.
Atlanta Marks Another Step in Beer City Cup’s Expansion
Beer City Cup has grown beyond its original Asheville tournament.
The organizers say the tournament’s popularity eventually made expansion to additional cities possible. Savannah hosted the first Beer City Cup outside Asheville in 2023, and the 2024 Savannah event reached 110 teams.
Now Atlanta joins that growing tournament footprint.
For Metro Atlanta’s adult soccer community, the November event provides another opportunity for teams to compete against players and clubs from outside the area while also experiencing the social side that has become part of the Beer City Cup identity.
Registration Is Underway
The official Beer City Cup calendar lists the Atlanta tournament for November 7–8, 2026, at Silverbacks Park.
The published registration schedule lists:
- Super Early Bird: August 14–31 — $995
- Early Bird: September 1–30 — $1,095
- Open Registration: October 1 until sold out — $1,195
- Maximum capacity: 80–86 teams
Teams can register through Beer City Cup’s official registration process, and the tournament’s FAQ states that paying the team entry fee secures a team’s spot. If a division is already full, teams can be placed on a waitlist.
The tournament also allows individual players to register as free agents. According to the official FAQ, players can use the tournament’s “Looking for a Team” option to indicate which division they want to play in, allowing captains in that division to contact them.
More Than Just the Matches
The soccer is obviously the centerpiece, but Beer City Cup has built its identity around the experience surrounding the competition.
The organizers describe the event as combining high-level adult soccer, cash prizes and a social atmosphere. Beer City Cup’s official FAQ also describes the tournament as a beer-fest-style soccer environment designed to bring players and spectators together.
That combination is part of what separates the tournament from a standard weekend competition.
Teams can come to Atlanta to compete, but the event is also designed as a weekend gathering for adult soccer players and their communities.

The arrival of Beer City Cup adds another event to Atlanta’s already active soccer calendar.
With multiple divisions, an 8v8 format and significant prize money available in the top competitions, the November 7–8 tournament should give adult teams across Georgia and beyond another reason to put Atlanta on their tournament calendar.
And with Silverbacks Park serving as the host venue, the first Atlanta edition will bring the Beer City Cup experience directly into Atlanta’s soccer community.
ASN Take
Beer City Cup Atlanta is worth watching because it brings together two things adult soccer tournaments do particularly well: serious competition and community.
The tournament’s established format gives experienced adult players an opportunity to compete in an 8v8 environment, while the range of divisions opens the event to teams with different competitive and age profiles.
For Atlanta, the November 7–8 weekend represents the first opportunity to experience Beer City Cup’s tournament format at Silverbacks Park.
The next step is simple: teams interested in participating need to get registered before the Atlanta field reaches capacity.
