The Georgia High School Association soccer playoffs are in their second round, and on Thursday, only two boys teams were playing throughout northeast Georgia.
Regretfully, neither was able to overcome two teams that were ranked highly. In a monumental matchup in Class 2A, Union County, the former No. 1 team, traveled to the current No. 1 Model.
The Panthers gave the Blue Devils everything they had, but in the second extra period, they lost 1-0 and were eliminated.
Dawson County lost 6-0 against No. 2 Hebron Christian in Class 3A. On Friday, six more boys teams will play.
