ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Three members of the Atlanta United FC have made it to the 23-man United States Men’s National team soccer roster (USMNT) for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
United’s veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan and strikers Miles Robinson and George Bello have made it to the team that will compete in the Gold Cup from July 10-August 1.
According to reports, the 59 players in the provisional roster were trimmed down to the final 23-man team who will train for one to two weeks before the tournament.
Guzan, 36 is tagged as one of the most senior members of the team.
The veteran United goalkeeper has 64 international appearances, became Tim Howard’s backup at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, and started at the 2016 Copa America.
The last time he played for the US was in the 2019 exhibition game against Uruguay.
For Robinson and Bello making it to the final team is a great way to gain experience in an international soccer game.
The United FC on its website said all three players will depart Atlanta to join the group early next week.
