ATLANTA, GEORGIA—Three members of the Atlanta United FC have made it to the 59-man United States roster (USMNT) for the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
United’s veteran goalkeeper Brad Guzan and strikers Miles Robinson and George Bello have made it to the provisional team that will compete in the Gold Cup from July 10-August 1.
According to reports, the 59 rosters will be trimmed down to the final 25-man team who will train for one to two weeks before the tournament.
Guzan, 36 is tagged as the most senior in the five goalkeepers named to the squad.
The veteran United goalkeeper has 64 international appearances, became Tim Howard’s backup at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, and started at the 2016 Copa America.
The last time he played for the US was in the 2019 exhibition game against Uruguay.
If by chance Guzan makes it to the final team, Alec Kann would likely take over his place for United.
For Robinson and Bello making it to the final team is a great way to gain experience in an international soccer game.
