Chattanooga FC continued its impressive summer form Saturday night, extending its unbeaten streak to seven matches after battling Orlando City B to a 1-1 draw at Finley Stadium.
While the Young Lions claimed the extra point with a 4-3 penalty shootout victory, Chattanooga once again demonstrated why it has become one of the hottest teams in MLS NEXT Pro.
Substitute Steeve Louis Jean rescued a point with his first goal of the season, while club veteran Tate Robertson etched his name into the Chattanooga FC record books.
Louis Jean Delivers Off the Bench
Orlando City B struck first in the 29th minute when leading scorer Pedro Leão finished off an attack created by Matthew Belgodere.
Despite falling behind, Chattanooga remained the more dangerous side throughout the evening.
The Boys in Blue consistently created quality chances, forcing Orlando goalkeeper Juan Rojas into one outstanding save after another. Captain Alex McGrath nearly found the breakthrough twice in the opening half, but Rojas stood tall to preserve the visitors’ lead.
Chattanooga’s persistence finally paid off in the 75th minute.
After entering at halftime, Steeve Louis Jean found space inside the box and buried the equalizer, scoring his first goal of the 2026 season to ignite the Finley Stadium crowd.
The goal came courtesy of another pinpoint delivery from Tate Robertson.
Robertson Matches Club History
With his assist on the equalizer, Robertson recorded the 24th assist of his Chattanooga FC career, tying club legend Juan Hernandez for the most assists in club history.
The milestone further cements Robertson’s place among Chattanooga’s greatest players, with the veteran continuing to produce in crucial moments.
Even after leveling the match, Chattanooga kept pushing for a winner, finishing the night with overwhelming statistical superiority.

Although the match finished level after 90 minutes, the statistics told a different story.

Orlando goalkeeper Juan Rojas proved to be the difference, producing five saves that denied Chattanooga all three points.
Following the draw, Interim Head Coach Richard Dixon praised his team’s overall performance despite the frustrating result.
“We played a decent game tonight. We created some really good chances. Their goalkeeper had a worldie in the first half, and obviously we conceded a soft goal. We did well to claw our way back into the game.”
Summer of Soccer Continues
Chattanooga now owns an 8-5-6 record (34 points) and remains firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
The Boys in Blue return to Finley Stadium next Saturday, July 25, when they host Philadelphia Union II during the final installment of the club’s Summer of Soccer series.
The evening will also feature Ride Your Bike Night, giving supporters another exciting matchday experience alongside an important league contest.
