Richard Dixon Begins New Chapter
Only days after signing a multiyear contract, Dixon officially begins life as Chattanooga FC’s permanent head coach.
After taking over on an interim basis before the season, Dixon has transformed Chattanooga into one of MLS NEXT Pro’s most consistent teams while building a strong team culture.
Ahead of Saturday’s match, Dixon emphasized the importance of slowing down one of the league’s most dangerous attacks.
“We need to make sure that defensively we’re solid,” Dixon said.
He highlighted Atlanta United 2 striker Arif Kovac, who currently leads MLS NEXT Pro with 15 goals.
“He’s dangerous in and around the box. We need to make sure we’re solid defensively and in our high press, mid block and low block. We need to find opportunities to catch them in transition.”
