Chattanooga FC Women will have continuity on the sidelines in 2027.

Chattanooga Football Club announced Thursday that Majo Harispuru will return as head coach for the club’s 2027 Women’s Premier Soccer League campaign after guiding the program through its first season under her leadership.

Harispuru took over as head coach in 2026 after serving as an assistant with the team in 2025. She led Chattanooga FC Women to a 4-1-3 record and fifth-place finish in the highly competitive WPSL Southeast Conference.

The club now wants to build on that foundation and take another step toward becoming a championship-level program.

Harispuru Earns Another Season After Strong First Campaign

Harispuru’s first season in charge produced a winning record and several signs of progress for Chattanooga FC Women.

The team finished 2026 with four victories, one draw and three defeats, establishing a competitive foundation in the Southeast Conference.

The season also produced a major off-field milestone.

Chattanooga FC Women drew a record 1,982 fans for their 1-0 victory over 865 Alliance, setting a new attendance record for the WPSL team.

For Chattanooga FC, that growth is part of a larger objective for its women’s program.

“Majo has helped us reach several important objectives and has been instrumental in the progress of our women’s program,” Sporting Director Sebastian Giraldo said.

Giraldo added that the club is excited to have Harispuru back to continue building on the foundation established during the 2026 season, with the ultimate goal of creating a sustainable championship program.

That ambition gives Harispuru’s second season a clear purpose: take a team that has already shown it can compete and push it closer to the top of the conference.

Chattanooga FC Wants to Build Something Sustainable

Harispuru’s return also provides Chattanooga FC Women with an opportunity to maintain continuity.

After moving from assistant coach to head coach ahead of the 2026 campaign, Harispuru now enters 2027 with a full season of experience leading the program.

She emphasized the importance of continuing that work rather than starting over.

“I’m incredibly excited to return for the 2027 season,” Harispuru said, thanking the club for the opportunity and expressing her desire to continue building the program.

Her goal extends beyond simply improving the win total.

Harispuru said she wants Chattanooga FC Women to become one of the most competitive teams in the conference and region, while also creating a program that fans can be proud to support.

That matters in a WPSL environment where player development, competitiveness and community support all contribute to the long-term identity of a program.

Chattanooga already has evidence that interest is growing.

The 1,982-fan attendance mark against 865 Alliance showed the potential audience for women’s soccer in the city, and Harispuru’s return gives the club a familiar leader as it looks to build on that momentum.

2027 Season Brings Another Opportunity

The WPSL will enter its 29th season in 2027, with additional details about the upcoming campaign expected in the coming months.

For Chattanooga FC Women, the immediate task is continuing to build the roster and prepare for another competitive Southeast Conference season.

Players interested in joining the program can submit the club’s player interest form as Chattanooga begins looking toward 2027.

The club’s message is clear: the 2026 season established a foundation, but Chattanooga does not want to stop there.

Harispuru now gets the opportunity to build on her first season, strengthen the program and pursue the championship standard Chattanooga FC has set for its women’s side.

And with the fan base showing it is willing to turn out in significant numbers, the next chapter of Chattanooga FC Women’s growth could be an important one.

Community Spotlight: Growing the Stories That Bring Communities Together

Chattanooga FC Women Bring Back Majo Harispuru for 2027 WPSL Season 4

Chattanooga FC Women’s return to the field in 2027 will be about more than building on a winning record. As the program continues to grow, so does the story surrounding its players, coaches and supporters. The record crowd in 2026 showed that women’s soccer has an audience ready to invest its time, energy and passion in the game.

ASN TAKE

Continuity is the story here.

Chattanooga FC Women are not changing direction after Harispuru’s first season. Instead, the club is betting on the progress already made.

A 4-1-3 record and fifth-place finish is a solid starting point, but Chattanooga FC’s own stated goal is bigger: building a sustainable championship program.

The attendance record is arguably just as important. Nearly 2,000 fans watching a WPSL match demonstrates the potential for women’s soccer in Chattanooga, and a competitive team gives that community something to rally around.

Harispuru now has another season to turn that foundation into sustained success.
