Clayton State women’s soccer standout Carrie Consolino earned First-Team All-Southeast Region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Tuesday morning. This is the first All-Region accolade of her career, adding to her impressive First-Team All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) selection earlier this season.
Record-Breaking Season
The Peachtree City, Ga. native had a breakout campaign, establishing herself as one of the top scorers in the region and nationally:
- 19 goals: Team-best, ranked second nationally, and the fifth-most in a single season in Clayton State program history.
- 42 points: Most in a season since 2005.
- 71 shots and four assists: Showcasing her all-around attacking prowess.
Consolino also recorded five multi-goal matches, capping off one of the most dominant offensive performances by a Laker in recent memory.
Historic Achievements
Her 19 goals marked the most by a Clayton State player since 2007 and contributed to one of the program’s most successful offensive seasons. Consolino’s performance has cemented her as a critical figure in the Lakers’ success and a rising star in Division II soccer.
