With the win, Georgia Southern (13-3-1, 6-3-0) caps a historic regular season by locking in the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The victory was also Southern’s 13th of the season, putting them on a serious upward trajectory heading into postseason play.
Second-Half Firepower Leads the Way
The first 45 minutes were all about Georgia State’s early control. The Panthers struck first in the 10th minute off a set piece, taking advantage of a sluggish Eagles start.
But after halftime, the Eagles flipped the script—and then some.
