ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The defending champion and home team Kalonji Pro-Profile took advantage of its experience to beat the youthful Atlanta United Academy in the finals of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Georgia Georgia Division Championship last December 18, 4 p.m. at MOBA Soccer Academy.
The visiting U-19 team United Academy took advantage of their speed and energy to outrun the defending champion Pro-Profile but they were not successful in scoring a goal.
In the 29th minute, Pro-Profile’s Patrick Okonkwo was able to penetrate the tough defense of United FC and scored a goal.
Sensing danger, United Academy played more aggressively to force an equalizer.
However, the Pro-Profile used their experience to frustrate the goal attempts of United Academy.
With their win, Pro-Profile qualified to move on to the round of 32 of the UPSL National Playoffs and a chance to collect on part of a $40,000 purse for those that make it into the final rounds of the tournament.
The team will face the Expedition Division Champion, Iturbide FC in a match that will be played in Tennessee in January of 2022.

The league features internal promotion and relegation with up to three levels in some regions; only clubs in the top tier Division I are eligible to compete for the national championship.
