ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The France national football team will have its guns blazing when they face Wales in a friendly match on Wednesday in Nice, France.
France coach Didier Deschamps hinted that Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, and Kylian Mbappe would start together for the first time in Les Bleus’ game against Wales.
Star strikers Benzema, Griezmann, and Mbappe are expected to lead the attack for France against Wales.
In an interview with the media, Deschamps is very excited to face Wales and show them that his team is deadly serious about winning.
“Our performance will also depend on what everyone brings,” Deschamps said.
“The midfielders, the full-backs. I don’t want to dissociate the three forwards from the rest of the team,” Deschamps added.
While on paper France is poised to beat Wales, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is not counting their opponent out yet.
“They’re a typical British team, very physical and the players make that extra effort when they play for their national team,” Lloris who plays for Tottenham Hotspur said.
“They’re dangerous on set pieces, very balanced,” Lloris added.
Lloris said they want to beat Wales they need to perform well collectively and not just rely on Benzema.
“Everyone has to adapt and everyone, not just one player, must be at their best,” Lloris said.
