The Georgia Gwinnett College women’s soccer team is heading back to a Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) title match—and they’re doing it in dominant fashion.
The top-seeded Grizzlies (9-5-5) surged to a 6-0 victory over No. 4 seed Florida National University on Sunday afternoon in the CAC Championship Semifinals at the Grizzly Soccer Complex, scoring four goals in the first 17 minutes to effectively seal the result early.
First-Half Onslaught Paves the Way
Freshman Kendra Delgado wasted no time getting the Grizzlies on the board, scoring in the 4th minute and assisting Christy Noble’s goal just five minutes later.
From there, it was all GGC:
- 14’ — Barbora Kadlecova scored off a corner kick from Hannah Lorenz
- 17’ — Lorenz added a goal of her own, her team-leading sixth of the season
“I liked how quickly we moved the ball. When you do that against most teams, you’re going to have success,” said head coach Mike Giuliano post-match.

Sophomore Gabby Stone added a pair of goals in the second half to round out the scoring, finishing twice from close range:
- 77’ — Scored after a flowing team move involving Rikke Steenhold and Alliyah Rosales
- 84’ — Secured her brace with another confident finish
With the victory, the Grizzlies advanced to their ninth CAC championship appearance in the past 10 seasons, continuing a tradition of dominance in conference play.
