ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The 2021 Georgia high school senior all-stars won the Girls Soccer TN-GA All-Star Game on Sunday at the CHI Memorial Stadium in Chattanooga.
The Georgia high school demolished the Tennessee All-Stars 5-1 to win the bragging rights as the best soccer school between the two.
Rome High School’s Mae Pierce took charge in scoring for Georgia to beat Tennessee by four goals.
With her hat trick performance, Pierce was declared the most valuable player in the game.
Aside from Pierce Model’s Lauren Akemon also played well for the team with two assists.
Dalton High School’s Jayleen Martinez scored one goal and two assists, Westminster’s Megan Propp for her part scored one goal, and Heritage (Catoosa)’s Allison Craft had one assist.
Due to their solid performance in the game six players from Georgia were also picked in the All-Star Super 11: Lauren Akemon at center midfield, Emma McGahan at center back (Westminster), Megan Propp at right-back, Janet Hartman at center back (Rome), Jayleen Martinez at forward and Mae Pierce at forward.
