Class 6A: Walton Takes a Hit, Richmond Hill Joins the Party
The biggest movement in 6A saw Walton slip to No. 5, while Campbell tumbled out of the rankings entirely after a tough loss to Carrollton. That opened the door for Richmond Hill, making its first appearance at No. 10. West Forsyth still reigns supreme at the top, but with fierce competition brewing, nothing is set in stone.
Class 5A: Houston County Surges as Chamblee Drops Out
After a slow 3-4 start, Chamblee slid out of the top 10, making room for Houston County, which stormed into the rankings at No. 10 with a 7-2 record. Roswell holds firm at No. 1, but every match counts as the season heats up.
Class 4A: Midtown’s Early Struggles Lead to a Rankings Shake-Up
Midtown’s 3-3 start saw them exit the rankings, while Locust Grove slipped to No. 10. The big winner? Pace Academy, making its debut at No. 9 with an impressive 4-2 start. North Oconee remains the team to beat, but the battle for spots is far from over.
Class 3A: Sandy Creek Rockets Up as Whitewater Drops Out
Massive movement in 3A! Whitewater’s struggles (4-3 record) led to a rankings exit, while Cherokee Bluff’s shaky 3-4 start saw them slide to No. 10. Meanwhile, Sandy Creek is making noise, breaking into the top 10 at No. 9 with a flawless 6-0 start. Oconee County still leads the pack, but challengers are lining up.
Class 2A: Morgan County Makes a Statement
No major shake-ups here, but Morgan County’s strong early-season form saw them jump from No. 6 to No. 3. Columbus remains on top, but the competition is only getting tougher.
Class A-Division I & II: Swainsboro and Atkinson County Enter the Fray
Fitzgerald’s struggles (3-5) led to an exit from A-DI, paving the way for Swainsboro to step in at No. 10 with a 7-1 record. Over in A-DII, Lincoln County’s drop (3-4) opened the door for Atkinson County, which now claims the No. 10 spot.
