ATLANTA, GEORGIA—The Georgia State University Panthers ended their three-game tune-up games with a scoreless draw against the visiting Clemson University on August 21 at the new GSU Soccer Complex.
Last August 18, the visiting Panthers beat the home team Presbyterian College 2-1 in exhibition soccer play.
Graduate student Iolo Jones found the back of the net off an assist from freshman Bryan Silva to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers pushed the lead to 2-0 following a goal by freshman Ethan Sassine in the 60th minute.
The Blue Hose cut the deficit in half on a goal by senior midfielder Pedro Crespo in the 73rd minute but would get no closer as the Panthers improved to 1-0-1 in exhibition play this year.
Georgia State finished the exhibition play with a win and two ties.
The regular season gets underway on Aug. 26 where the Panthers will host UNF.
